The Parc de Saint-Cloud residence was built in 1963 on a hillside on the Marivel plateau in place of a villa designed by the architect Le Corbusier. The residence has a panoramic view of the forest of Saint-Cloud park and a beautiful ¬wooded heritage including many centuries-old trees. However, this park needed to be reworked in order to respond to various problems, in particular the degeneration of certain trees.
The “An Island of Light and Shadow ” project supports the residence in its evolution towards a place more in tune with its time and its inhabitants. This involves aesthetics but also its semi-intensive, or even extensive, management mode in certain places.
It is also about proposing new uses to allow residents to take ownership of the places more than they do today. The layout of the camellia garden, the children’s play area ¬, the waves of the central meadow , all this contributes to making this place not only a park seen but also and above all, a park experienced by its inhabitants.
